Allison (Yanying) Li is a first-year doctoral student in the Human Development and Family Studies program at Purdue University, working with Dr. Annabelle Atkin. Allison was born in China and eventually came to the US for her undergraduate studies at Kenyon College, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Allison then completed her Master's degree in Psychology at Wake Forest University.

Allison's research interests mainly focus on racial-ethnic socialization in Asian families, specifically how different socialization agents shape adolescents' and young adults' critical consciousness, identity development, and psychosocial adjustments 

During her free time, Allison enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with friends
